Satyrykon 2025 – Rules and Regulations

I. Participation Conditions

1. Open Competition: Satyrykon 2025 International Exhibition welcomes global participation.
2. Eligible Works: Original drawings, graphics, fine arts, and photography using any technique. Submissions must fit into one of two categories:
   • Theme: The Lesser of Two Evils
   • Joke & Satire
     Note: Works previously awarded in other competitions are ineligible.
3. Submission Deadline: Submit up to three works per category by 7th January 2025 (11:59 a.m. Polish time) via the online form at https://satyrykon.pl/en/applications/.
   • Format: Maximum size A3 (297x420mm), 5 MB per image, JPEG format.
   • For sculptures or non-digital works, contact satyrykon@lck.art.pl.

II. Prizes

1. Jury Selection: An international jury will evaluate the entries.
2. Awards:
   • Grand Prix Satyrykon 2025: Gold key and 12,000 PLN.
   • 2 Gold Medals: 8,000 PLN each.
   • 2 Silver Medals: 7,000 PLN each.
   • 2 Bronze Medals: 6,000 PLN each.
   • 4 Special Prizes: 5,000 PLN each:
     • Mayor of Legnica Award
     • Director of Legnica Culture Center Award
     • Museum of Caricature in Warsaw Award
     • Satyrykon Andrzej Tomiałojć Foundation Award
   • Additional Awards: Best Debut and Student Debut winners will receive solo exhibitions at the Satyrykon Gallery.
3. Jury Rights: The jury may adjust prize distribution, including withholding awards or the Grand Prix. Decisions are final.
4. Announcement Dates:
   • 24th January 2025: Finalists for Stage 2 announced at www.satyrykon.pl.
   • 7th March 2025: Competition results and exhibition list published.
5. Participation Costs: Free of charge. Authors donating one work to the Satyrykon Gallery will have return postage covered.

III. Participants’ Privileges

1. Catalogue: Authors of selected works receive a free exhibition catalogue and featured listing.
2. Event Access: Prize-winners enjoy free participation in Satyrykon 2025 (June 13–15, 2025).
3. Exhibitions: Selected works will be displayed in Poland and internationally. Works will be returned by 31st December 2026.

IV. Final Provisions

1. Usage Rights: Submitted works may be used for promotional purposes, including reproduction in advertising materials and catalogues.
2. Ownership: Award-winning works become the property of the organizers and part of the Satyrykon Gallery collection.
3. Agreement: Submission implies acceptance of these rules and consent for the author’s profile to appear in the post-exhibition catalogue.
